In Kunming (1 night): Kunming Hotel ****

This mid twentieth century European styled architecture hotel, became the first four-star hotel in Yunnan. The hotel counts 303 rooms and is located in the city center. Marked by the variety of furnishing and decor, the guest rooms show the rich culture of the hotel.

In Dali (2 nights): Landscape Hotel ****

At the foot of the CangShan Mountain and close to the Erhai Lake
The four star Landscape Hotel is built in Bai architecture style. The rooms are spacious and equipped with internet (surcharge). Room service is available. You can find a business center, currency exchange, gift shop, massage and sauna in the hotel. The hotel has both a Chinese and a Western restaurant, and a coffee shop. Tickets for a western breakfast are included.

In Lijiang (1 night): Hexi Hotel ****

Hexi Courtyard is a typical Naxi-building, opened in 2005. It consists in 24 characteristic ethnic yards. This construction is a precious antiquity in Lijiang Old Town, and the local government has put it under special protection. The hotel has 171 guestrooms, which have all the necessary facilities (including free internet). Among others, you can find a bar, a shopping area, a restaurant, a sauna, massage services and a beauty salon in the hotel.

In Zhongdian (2 nights): Gyalthang Dzong Hotel ***

A 15 minute walk to the south of the Old Town
The 47 rooms and suits of the Gyaltang Dzong Hotel are characteristically Tibetan style. The rooms offer views over the valley. The hotel interior is colourful, using ethnic textiles. Rich hues of orange, browns and purples integrate the decorative motif of the Endless Knot, one of the eight auspicious symbols of Tibetan Buddhism.
